Osun names Oyebade new Head of Service

The Osun State government has announced the appointment of Festus Gboyega Oyebade as the new Head of Service.A statement by the Media Adviser to the Governor, Sola Fasure, said he takes over from Sunday Olayinka Owoeye, who retired on October 16, 2017.

The Osun State government has announced the appointment of Festus Gboyega Oyebade as the new Head of Service.A statement by the Media Adviser to the Governor, Sola Fasure, said he takes over from Sunday Olayinka Owoeye, who retired on October 16, 2017.

According to the statement, the new civil service helmsman was before his appointment the permanent secretary, local government loans board, office of the governor. His appointment takes immediate effect.

Oyebade, a native of Ibokun in Obokun Local Council, was born in Orile-Owu in Ayedaade Local Council of the state on March 24, 1962.He joined the Civil Service on January 11, 1991 through the Local Government Service Commission of the old Oyo State and was one of the Osun indigenes that returned home as pioneer staff of the newly created state on August 27, 1991.

The statement added that Owoeye joined the state civil service from the old Oyo State on March 3, 1983 but transferred his services to Osun at its creation.

He was appointed Permanent Secretary in September 2012 but was immediately elected Head of Service by his colleagues.Governor Rauf Aregbesola wished both men well in their present and future endeavours.
