Okon wins registration to participate in ICA conference
A Nigerian Air Force Public Relations Officer, Wing Commander Bassey Ibiang Okon, has emerged as one of the three lucky winners at the just concluded International Communication Association (ICA) draws that took place at the association’s headquarters in the United States of America (USA).
Wing Commander Okon was the only person selected from Tier ‘C’ comprising 84 countries during the event. Other winners were Flavien Puel of Japan and Griselda Guillen of Mexico who were drawn from Tiers ‘A’ and ‘B’ countries respectively. The Officer automatically qualifies for free registration to the 67th ICA Conference taking place in May 2017 at San Diego, USA.
The Air Force officer, who is a Chevening scholar, became a member of ICA during his post-doctoral studies at Cranfield University, United Kingdom in 2009. He was the best graduating student of Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria in 1998. He holds a Masters Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and a doctorate degree from the University of Uyo.
