National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has inaugurated its disciplinary committee and investigating panel as envisaged in the NIMN Act.

The association also announced plans to hold its yearly marketing conference, slated to hold on May 27 and 28 physically, with the theme, ‘SMEs in post- COVID-19 World’.

According to the Chairman of Council, NIMN, Tony Agenmonmen, “the choice is informed by the knowledge that SMEs play very significant roles in the economic and social lives of our nation in terms of employment generation, poverty reduction and contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It is, therefore, important to bring to the fore, challenges faced by these SMEs in the country which has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The AGM, according to the organisers, will be an opportunity to present the accounts of their stewardship for the year ended December 13, 2020, as Agenmonmen will also be ending his tenure as the president and chairman of the council.

A seven-man disciplinary tribunal and a three-man investigating panel were inaugurated and charged with the duty of considering and determining any case referred to it.
