IoD to honour Williams, Dangote, Eke, others at investiture

The Doyen of Accounting in Nigeria, Akintola Williams; Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote and Chairman of Zinox Technologies, Leo Stan Eke are among eminent professionals and business leaders to be honoured at the investiture ceremony of Ahmed Rufai Mohammed.
Mohammed will be the 15th IoD President and Chairman of Council during the event slated for Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos
The event, which will attract no fewer than 250 eminent personalities, has the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, as the Special Guest of Honour, while Rob Newsome, Partner Emeritus at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will be the Guest Speaker.
Mohammed is a professional Investment Manager and seasoned administrator with over 30 years of experience in Project Development and Portfolio Management. He is currently the Executive Vice Chairman of Northbridge Investment and Trust Limited, Chairman Northbridge Micro Finance Bank Limited and a Director on the Group board of Royal Exchange Plc.
He had served the IoD Nigeria as the first Vice President and Vice Chairman, Nomination and Governance Committee and Chairman of Finance and General Purpose Committee, positions he held until recently, among others.
Newsome is the Managing Director, Platinum Risk Services (PRS). Prior to joining the firm, he served as the client priority leader of PwC’s African Risk section within the firm’s Advisory practice.
His professional career has seen him as a senior university lecturer in accounting, a partner with Fisher Hoffman Stride, an accounting firm, Head, Internal Audit at Eskom, Southern African Lead Partner in Corporate Governance at KPMG, General Manager, Group Internal Audit at MTN and Senior Executive Partner, Business Risk at Services Ernst & Young, among others.
Sanusi, a renowned banker and economist, was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of First Bank of Nigeria, as well as Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from where became Emir of Kano.
