Immigration elevates spokesman, others

The Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Board (CDFIPB) have promoted 3,218 Immigration Officers to their next rank.

The Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Board (CDFIPB) have promoted 3,218 Immigration Officers to their next rank.

Among those promoted is ace Immigration spokesman, King Ekpedeme.

The new development was conveyed in a statement signed by the Director/Secretary, CDFIPB, Sunday Ogu and dated November 23, 2016.

The promoted officers cut across the ranks of Assistant Comptrollers General of Immigration (ACG) to Senior Inspector of Immigration (SII).

Thirteen Comptrollers of immigration were promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptrollers of Immigration.

Among those promoted were Hamman Yerima, Comptroller of Immigration, Delta State Command, Chizobi Dibi of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos and Olaseni Lawal of Anambra State Command, while 37 Deputy Comptrollers were promoted to the rank of Comptrollers, including the Service Public Relations Officer, Ekpedeme King, Dominic Asogwa of Enugu State Command, Joshua Ajisafe of Ogun command and Azare Abdullahi of ECOWAS and African Affairs Section, Lagos.

Also, 95 officers were promoted from the rank of Assistant. Comptroller to Deputy Comptrollers, among them, Tanko Kutana of the Document Fraud Unit at the NIS headquarters, Abuja, Henry Aiyewumi, Passport Office, Calabar and Aniefiok Essien of Oyo State Command.
