ICSAN introduces internship scheme to boost graduate efficiency
The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) graduate internship scheme was conceived as platform to give fresh graduates of the Institute the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in corporate governance and company secretarial practice in reputable organizations in Nigeria.
The three months programme is in the first instance and is aimed to prepare the graduates for the practical aspects of the profession.
The body said the scheme might also be extended at the instance of the engaging entity after communicating such intention to ICSAN.
A statement by the institute explained that the Scheme is optional but once an Intern is posted to an engaging entity and has reported for duty the candidate should complete the programme.
A number of top companies and organizations including manufacturing companies, banks and corporate secretarial firms are partnering with the Institute in the project.
