Group lauds NCDMB’s review of competency assessment
The Transparency in Petroleum Exploration and Development Initiative (TIPEDI), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has said that ongoing review of organisational structure and competency assessment of staff will bring efficiency and better service delivery in the operations of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
TIPEDI said yesterday that the current management led by the Executive Secretary, Engineer Simbi Wabote has shown a lot of promise and innovations.
The group, which monitors the operations of the nation’s oil and gas sector added that at the end of the process, a more efficient regulatory and content development organisation that would meet the expectation of key players in the sector would be built.
A statement issued by the Secretary of TIPEDI in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Michael Amaegberi, the group said the engagement of KPMG to conduct the review of Human Resource processes, Organisation Structure and Competency Test, was a clear testimony of the desire to raise the board’s quality of service.
“Some of the ongoing reforms in NCDMB, including welfare issues were inherited by Wabote and it is instructive to note that he has taken responsibility for undertaking in exercises necessary to restore sanity in the work environment in line with the change agenda of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and the public service rules.
