Foundation to begin youth mentoring series
As part of its major focus on developing the youth population for capacity and productivity, insurance industry captains are set to begin the 2020 mentoring series this week.
The Foundation Mentors Programme, founded by Funmi Babinton-Ashaye, has for the past five years, been addressing challenges faced by indigent, but brilliant students through yearly payment of their school fees.
The Foundation is in partnership with The University of Lagos, Lagos State Polytechnic, and Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to drive youth development programme.
Speaking with The Guardian at the unveiling of the Foundation, Babington-Ashaye said people have continued to look up to the mentorship programme.
She said specifically, her involvement in this project is giving back to the society through personal satisfaction, learning opportunity, creating a platform for networking activities, transfer of skills, sharing experiences as benefits to mentees, among others.
