Firm advocates capacity development for employee’s productivity
The Chief Executive Officer/founder of Protégé Professionals, Nwamaka Onyiuke has stressed the need for capacity building and talent discovery in order to bring the best out of every employee. In an exclusive chat with The Guardian during a discovery programme
Tagged: “Convicted Professionals”, she noted that the imperativeness of capacity building in every firm cannot be over emphasized.
According to her, “the challenge many organisations and individuals have in achieving their dreams is failing to start from their point of strength. Incidentally, most people went to university to learn new skills rather than horn their identified strength. That is why a lot of people in the work place are not doing what they are good at. Some organistions on the other hand have copied other organisation’s ideas, which can only make them a poor imitation with no long term vision. They have majored on their minor. So most companies end up not having the right people and the people themselves not doing what their good at which means they will only ever be average. For people to realize their dreams, they need to be reorientated and master what it takes to be the best in their area of strength”.
Speaking further, she said it Is also important for organizations to do HR Audits in order to take stock of the organization, adding that, team activities, mentoring, performance and retreats also enhance employee productivity, which is part of what Protégé Professionals offers.
