The Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bananas Technology (DBT), Keji Giwa has urged Nigerian youths to embrace eWorkexperience platform and equip themselves with digital skills that will boost their careers and place them at vantage positions in the world of work.

eWorkexperience, an online platform created by Digital Bananas for its sister company Career Insights, uses eLearning, eCollaboration, eMentoring, live digital projects that are remotely accessible to help candidates apply their learning, receive hands on training and gain practical work experience in digital project management and business analysis.

Speaking after a session organised for Nigerian youths on gaining practical experience at the Digital Hub of Digital Bananas Technology in Lagos, Giwa said there was an urgent need for Nigerian graduates to adapt new skills in today’s digital world and begin to reap its benefits.

He observed that in the contemporary world, data was the new oil as the world’s biggest companies were technology-driven, contrary to what obtained 10 years ago.

The IT expert who anchored the session where almost 100 youths brainstormed on customising mobile application for the Nigerian market, observed that the trend of adopting new digital skills was indicative of where the world was headed, adding that this was why the company took the challenge to offer Nigerians to help them advance their careers.

He therefore, assured that the eWorkexperience platform, which allows people to take online trainings, also measures progress and assigns mentors who guide people through the learning process.
