Enugu appoints Ogbuagu commissioner of information
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has appointed Robert Ogbuagu Anikwe as the state Commissioner for Information.
Ogbuagu is a professional who understands the necessity of communication, information, education and citizen mobilisation for values and positive outcomes.
He has acquired over 30-years experience having risen from a reporter, line editor, editor, general manager and chief executive/editor-in-chief of a national media (newspaper, online, and radio).
He is trained in public policy analysis and human resource management from the University of Lagos, as well as media and marketing communications from the Pan-Atlantic University (PAU), Lagos.
Ogbuagu has served on various World Bank communication efforts at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the Ministry of Power, the World Bank Economic Reforms and Governance Project in Ondo Kogi states.
He obtained a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Lagos, another masters in Media and Communication from the Pan Atlantic University and is presently rounding off his PhD also at the Pan Atlantic University
He also worked with The Guardian where the management recognised his capabilities as a journalist with an all-round perspective in the process and rose to become News Editor, The Guardian on Sunday and News Editor of the daily title.
He later served as Editor of the Daily Times in the turnaround period of Onukaba Adinoyi-Ojo team from where he joined The Post Express as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Ogbuagu has experience in strategic and public communication and served in the team of the Office of Government Communication in the Presidency, among several other roles in the public and private sectors.
