Charisma University elects Oyedokun president of alumni association

The Charisma University Alumni Association has elected Professor Godwin Oyedokun its international president. Besides Oyedokun, two other Nigerian delegates- Dr. Stacy Nwodo and Dr. Lydia Ajayi were also elected into the executive council of the association as General Secretary and Treasurer.

Besides Oyedokun, two other Nigerian delegates- Dr. Stacy Nwodo and Dr. Lydia Ajayi were also elected into the executive council of the association as General Secretary and Treasurer.

Meanwhile, Chancellor of the University has elevated Oyedokun into the professorial position. He was appointed on July 5, 2019, and his appointment took effect from September 2018.

Prof. Peter Chris, who made the announcement of the professorial elevation, stressed his overwhelming credentials and academic excellence, while the President and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Williams Martin Sloane commended him for his dedication to duty since he joined the University. 

Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors, Professor Ian Mackechine, while congratulating him said: “I have not seen a man like Oyedokun before. He is someone full of energy in teaching, mentoring, coordinating and researching, truly, he deserved the honour and elevation to full Professor and my board had just done the needful.”

An elated Oyedokun said: “As a Professor in the University, it is my expectation to give academic leadership, mentor and teach at all times, but I will be more engaged in postgraduate supervision and mentoring.”
