CADAM restructures, appoints new directors

Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry (CADAM), a faith based NGO under the Redeemed Christian Church of God that caters for the treatment and rehabilitation of drug dependent people at its Enoch and Folu Adeboye Rehabilitation Centre in Epe, Lagos State, has been restructured.  

The restructuring was to ensure that more people, especially youths are dissuaded from engaging drugs and substance abuse.

At its last Board of Trustees meeting in Lagos, four new directors were appointed. They were Dokun Adedeji, Director General; Tony Ohanyere, Director, Rehabilitation and field operations; Funke Salako, Director, Programs and Orientation and Sola Odewabi, Director, Finance and Corporate Services.

Adedeji is a medical graduate of the University of Ife, Ile-Ife. He was the Medical Advisor of Cadbury Nigeria Plc. and later became Head, Human Resource before retiring voluntarily in 2010. He won the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Employee Involvement in the Community while in Cadbury because of his work in CADAM.  

Ohanyere obtained his law degree from the University of Lagos and attended certificate courses twice at the famous Cambridge University, United Kingdom. He has a Doctor of Science degree (DSC Honorary Causa) from the European – American University. He also attended the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru, Jos. He retired as Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, NDLEA.
