Saddled with the vision of uplifting the beauty industry, entrepreneurs, who gathered at a two-day Beauty Business Summit (BBS), recently, have developed strategies to put the industry on the global map.

The move, the entrepreneurs said, is to create different resources that will improve the beauty industry in Nigeria, and ultimately Africa, through its Beauty Business Club (BBC).

Co-founder of the BBS, Oluwayemisi Seriki, who noted that the initiative, which will ensure robust synergies among beauty entrepreneurs, also said it will build the industry into Nigeria’s emerging economic gateway.

He said: “We are on a mission to fire up beauty businesses and to encourage more start-ups in the industry.”

The keynote speaker, Adrinola Oloruntoye, of Digital Architect and Verraki Partners, spoke on the need to use data consistently and continuously for businesses to stand a chance in the 21st Century.

Similarly, Managing Director of Nitro 121, Lampe Omoyele, urged participants to strive to understand their customers’ need, adding that the beauty sector has the potential to provide large number of jobs badly needed to power the economy.

Also, Chairman of Maverl Natural Products Plc., Adeolu Akinyemi, said the Beauty Club has the potential of being a key driver to addressing critical issues concerning Nigeria’s beauty ecosystem.
