LAPO empowers 1.4 million clients, rewards 451 workers

The Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) has empowered not less than 1.4 million clients with financial and social services loan worth N85.4million since inception.

  Management of LAPO stated this when it rewarded 451 of its staff who have spent various lengths of years with the organisation.

 According to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAPO, Dr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe, whose address was delivered at the occasion by the Executive Director, LAPO, and Chairperson, Welfare Committee of the 2014 Staff Awards Presentation ceremony, Sabina Idowu-Osehobo, the awardees were honoured for their immense contribution to the outstanding successes recorded by LAPO over the years.

  He said a total of 408 staff members received long service awards for their five to 25 years of service, 43 others were honoured with performance awards for excellent and outstanding services to the organization from across the various regions.

 He noted that the performance would not have been possible without the efforts of the awardees.

   The Executive Director, LAPO, Sabina Idowu-Osehobo, was among the staff who received 15 years of service award while Ehigiator Abraham of Ore 2 Branch in Ondo region, a chief support officer, won the 2014 overall best performing staff award.  All the recipients were given various prizes and parting gifts as mark of appreciation from LAPO.
