THE Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) is partnering IASeminars to offer training courses covering the broad range of financial statements to the nation’s private and public sectors.

In a statement made available by ANAN, in Lagos, the financial topics would include courses on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

ANAN said in the statement that the courses would be offered in Nigeria and in other countries.

It recalled that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) announced that Nigeria would adopt the provisions of IFRS and IPSAS in the private and public sectors.

The statement pointed out that since then, organizations across the country had been busy implementing these benchmarks of global best practices, otherwise expected to do so in the near future.

“This has generated the need for high-quality training on these complex international rules which ANAN and IASeminars are well-placed to provide,” it said.

The President and Chairman of the Council of ANAN, Alhaji Sakirudeen Labode said, “ANAN is pleased to work with IASeminars on this important project.
