Arco gets ISO certificates for subsidiary

Arco Maintenance and Engineering Limited [AMEL] recently announced its ISO Certification of ISO: 9001:2008 and ISO/TS: 29001:2011.

Speaking at the African Petroleum Congress and Exhibition in Abuja, the Group Managing Director of Arco Group, Alfred Okoigun said, “the ISO Certification of AMEL is proof that the company that started as Arco Petrochemical Engineering Company Limited has come of age and has joined the club of companies that enjoy recognition for achieving internationally acclaimed best practices in their internal control and processes.

“These Certifications form a milestone for us in our business operations. They will strengthen the confidence of our associates and customers in us. They will open new vistas of opportunities for AMEL, I am sure, he said.

He recalled that Arco Integrity Solutions Limited had three years ago received its ISO: 9001: 2008 Certification, adding that the result of that is that the company has been receiving the attention it deserves in its areas of operation.Unveiling AMEL’s Certificates, the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineering, Otis Anyaeji, an engineer, explained that he was privileged to be a witness to the founding of Arco Petrochemical Engineering Company Limited by  Okoigun in 1980 and had followed the activities of the company until now that it has become Arco Group Plc with three subsidiaries.
