High Water Art International School has embarked on training youth on digital technology.
 
Chief Executive Officer, High Water Art International, Ms. Mary Olohijie Ileogben, said the academy prepares youth who cannot afford higher education to get skills that would make them more useful to their communities.

 
Speaking on ‘Our Nigeria today and the future’ in a short documentary shot by the trainees in different locations across Lagos, she said the film would be shown to government officials and other stakeholders. 
  
According to her, “technology and digital business is the new goldmine since the world has learned great lessons from COVID-19 pandemic.”

She continued: “Our capacity is beyond and widely spread across the media in the areas of arts, dance, fashion, music, audiovisual, cinematography, video editing, photography, graphics, directing, productions and mastering coding.”
 
The resource person, a video editor and lecturer at the academy, Victor Okwara, maintained that the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the economy was huge, making empowerment very relevant.
