TINK Social Media Week Holds On Feb 25

IN line with its tradition of promoting progressive and innovative social conversations through several social media platforms, Trends+Intelligence Network (TINK), has scheduled its Social Media Week for February 25, this year.

Holding at the Landmark Centre-SMW Experience Stage Water Corporation Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, from 10:30am till 11:30, the public discussion will be held under the theme “The Next Wired Generation: Orange Minds and the Future of Advertising.”

TINK is part-consumer intelligence, part-trends research and part-innovation company, the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.

According to the convener and founder of TINK Africa, Franklin Ozekhome, who has spent a decade in advertising (media planning, brand strategy, account management, digital planning, marketing and new business), the social media week event is design to educate guests on the emerging realities in marketing communication.

He posits that “the impact of popular culture – afro-pop music and sounds, reality TV shows, pop-candy videos, celeb fetish, techvolution, minipreneurism and the rise of technology start-ups and co-creation hubs — was being felt across industries — fashion, mobile and telecoms, fast foods, retail, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, online shopping, tourism and health—, and revolutionising the Nigerian market. Brands, therefore, had to rethink and re-strategise how they were branding, marketing and communicating to the digital consumer.”

TINK is specifically designed as an innovation hub for agencies, brands and creative professionals seeking inspiration, practical case studies and innovations on what is going to happen next in their industries, and how they can leverage and commercialise trends for their own benefit.
