The crème of ICT and financial industry are to gather in Lagos tomorrow for this year’s Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Distinguished Lecture series and awards ceremony- an event widely regarded as the most prestigious annual event available in the ICT industry in Nigeria.

Now in its ninth year, the theme is “Leveraging ICT Value for Building Institutions” and will feature keynotes from Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, director general, National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA); John Obaro, MD/CEO, SystemSpecs Ltd; and Femi Adeoti, CEO of Inlaks Limited.

Leo Stan Ekeh, serial digital entrepreneur and chairman, Zinox Group will chair the event which also has Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, former, EVC of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and chairman, Open Media Group as chief host.

Ken Nwogbo, CEO, Communication Week Media Ltd, organisers of the BoICT Distinguished Lecture/Awards Series, said that the lecture series is reserved for distinguished achievers who explore efforts to put Nigeria on digital map.

Past Keynote lecturers include: the former Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Ernest Ndukwe; former Director-General of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Yomi Bolarinwa; CEO, OR System France and specialist in Counterpart Risk, Dr. Jean Luc Fort; and Chairman, Knowledge Factory International, United Kingdom, Professor Chris Nwagboso, among others.
