FIIRO partners firms on technology

To promote technological research and development, the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO), has partnered two companies in Lagos, FIDSON Healthcare Limited and Unilever Nigeria Plc.

The Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu stated that the partnership is in line with Federal Government’s efforts to reduce unemployment in the country, as well as improve industrial value chain.

To promote technological research and development, the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO), has partnered two companies in Lagos, FIDSON Healthcare Limited and Unilever Nigeria Plc.

The Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu stated that the partnership is in line with Federal Government’s efforts to reduce unemployment in the country, as well as improve industrial value chain.

The minister also explained that the partnership would give opportunity for industries to cooperate with research institutes to ensure that Nigerian products could be exported to international markets.

DG, FIIRO, Dr. Gloria Elemo, who accompanied the minister during the tour, commended FIDSON Healthcare Limited for producing high quality products and creating enabling work environment for workers in the company. She said FIIRO is committed to assisting companies on research and development to ensure international best practices.
