The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) continues to berate the ruling class for allegedly planning to destroy tertiary education in Nigeria. But while it is obvious that successive governments have done a deplorable job of keeping the country’s universities afloat let alone improving them.
Chairman, University of Ibadan chapter of ASUU, Dr. Deji Omole, who stated this in Ibadan at the weekend, added that it has become imperative to remind the minister that the future of the children of the masses must not be used to play politics.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ambrose Ali University (AAU) Ekpoma, Edo State chapter, has debunked reports that the union was factionalised. Its Chairman, Dr. Monday Igbafen, who commented on alleged factionalisation of the union in the institution said the union remained one.
