Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has said it will investigate the the death of a Nigerian student simply known as Ikem, who was allegedly killed by a group of Chinese in the Philippines.

Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) said 2,518 Nigerians have been evacuated from crisis-torn Sudan. Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Mr. Abdur-Rahman Balogun, disclosed this in Abuja, yesterday, while giving update on evacuation.

The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has confirmed that the tenth batch of evacuees from Sudan are already done with their documentation.

The Federal Government has informed Nigerian students who were evacuated from war-torn Sudan that there are plans to secure placement for them in their respective courses in Nigeria with the support of the Ministry of Education.
