Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) in Abia State, Professor Francis Otunta, has exhorted Nigerian tertiary education students to always be good citizens of any society they find themselves and to specifically be realistic to the management of their institutions.

The VC said this when some members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) led by Kadiri Haruna visited him in his office. Commending the VC for his achievements, Haruna who described MOUAU as the most important university east of the Niger, assured that his administration would always do what is right, following due process and carrying out its affairs in accordance with the law.

Speaking on NANS election Haruna disclosed that he is the duly elected president of NANS and described as false some newspaper publications that said Mr. Chinonso Obasi is the president. He stated that Obasi did not contest the NANS election, though he claims to be the president.
