South East Communities Hold Peace, Conflict Resolution Summit
A THREE-DAY summit was recently held in Owerri, Imo State to ensure that peace reigns in the five South East states (Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi). The Theme of the summit was “Conflict Prevention, Peace Building For South East Traditional Rulers.”
Declaring the event organised by the Institute for Conflict
Resolution, Abuja, open, the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha,
represented by the Acting Commandant General of the State Peace
Advocate Corps, Peter Ohagwa, emphasised on the need for peaceful
atmosphere to be deep-rooted in communities in the zone.
Commending the institute for choosing the state, the governor urged the monarchs to caution their subjects on the need to stop incessant traditional rulership tussle in their domains.

violence is absent in a setting.
Peace and conflict is generally the violent and nonviolent behaviors as well as the structural mechanisms attending conflicts with a view towards understanding those processes which lead to a more desirable human condition.
the summit which occurred to stop conflict in the five eastern state and create peace is a very good thing.
Diversity and conflicts should be avoided in the country dating back to June 12, during Abiola regime where people lost their lives, families, loved ones. properties to mention a few.
The community did a good thing in trying to make peace reign and also the government joining hands to make sure the traditional rulers join in the peace reign.
