Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta (MAPOLY), is set to establish School of Agricultural Technology to enable its students to diversify and effectively contribute to the economy.

The Rector, Prof. Oludele Itiola, who disclosed this in Abeokuta, explained that the department would make the students key players in generating ideas, to carry out researches and to bring innovations in agro-allied services.

His words: “ MAPOLY is currently leveraging on the state government’s efforts to reclaim the entire polytechnic land, most of which have been lying unproductive, for the establishment of the School of Agricultural Technology. This will not only break new ground, but also offer opportunities to lunch our graduates into a sector that has long seemed neglected.”

“We shall make our graduates key players in generating ideas and carrying out research, as well as, in bringing innovations to primary agriculture and agro-allied extensions, that will diversify our economy and reopen the nation, as a leading hub for business and innovation.”
