Text: Ephesians 1: 3 – 19
Key Verse: Ephesians 1:19, “And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his power in and for us who believe…” (AMP)

If someone had a thousand liters of water to give you but you had a liter of container, you wouldn’t be able to receive what he had for you. The problem would not be with the supply; it would be with your ability to receive. If you would get rid of the small container and get something larger, then you could receive so much more.

It’s the same way with God, you may think, “The economy is too down. I could never afford that house I really want. My business will never expand. I don’t have the funding. I don’t have the people behind me.” Get rid of that small container. The God we serve is a big God! He has an ocean, an unlimited supply.

Paul, the apostle in writing to the church at Ephesus prayed earnestly that the eyes of their understanding be flooded with light by the Holy Spirit so that they will know and cherish immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of God’s power in their lives.

God’s material resources are unlimited in supply. You need not put your trust in your Job, money, stock market, real estates, bank account, skill, education or anything else because they are unstable and can fall over night but God’s riches is unshakable. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have those things in our life, it just means our trust, hope, confidence and dependence should not be in those things. They are not our ultimate source, God is. God owns all the wealth, all the ideas, all the inspiration, strategies, plans – everything! Ownership is an illusion. Ultimately nothing belongs to us, it all belongs to God.

Paul in writing to the Philippians brethren acknowledged their benevolence and magnanimity towards the support of his ministry and he prayed for them by saying, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). Thus, affirming the fact that God’s riches are unlimited in supply. It is not limited by the status of a nation’s economy.

God wants to make us a blessing to the nations so that He can establish His covenant throughout the earth. His resources, supply and heaven’s riches to live this Kingdom life don’t come to us through works but by grace and through faith! It doesn’t legalise laziness but living with the consciousness that by strength shall no man prevail.

Hard work is consistent deployment of skills acquired while wisdom is the know-how. Anointing is supernatural enablement to achieve and to do more. Hard work + Wisdom + Skills + God’s Grace = Extreme Success. The Bible says in 1 Samuel 2:9, “No one will succeed by strength alone.”

You can either live in a puddle of your limitations or in a river of God’s infinite unlimited supply of wealth. Having connection with Christ is the access way to living in the river of God’s unlimited supply. It is all by God’s Grace.

However, it takes faith to live in this river! Fear will keep us in a puddle. Living in a puddle is living with your eyes on yourself (ability) and not God as your source.

All good things whatever their nature comes ultimately from the hand of God. In James 1:17 we read, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” God’s storehouse is full and complete.

Jesus said, “According to your faith it will be done unto you.”
