The act of crying

In life, crying has effects, as it attracts environmental attention.

Expectedly, the birth of a new baby should be accompanied by a cry.

The cry of a baby at birth is a proof that it is not stillbirth.

Crying to God instead of crying to mortal man is powerful in the realm of the Spirit.

All through Biblical history, God always responds to His people’s cry.

Psalm 107:6 “Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.”

Exodus 3:7-8 “And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have HEARD THEIR CRY by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them.”

Crying to God is not childish. It is a proof of our trust and utter dependence on God, Who is able to assuage our predicament.

When hope is hopeless and there is no one to help, CRYING IN FAITH to God is consequential.

Psalm 34:6 “THIS POOR MAN CRIED, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.”

The Word of God declares that God’s ears are attentive to the cry of the righteous.

Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto THEIR CRY.”

The Word of God further declares in Psalm 34:17 “The righteous CRY, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”

It is amazing, many people who cried to God in critical times and they got divine attention and transformation. Even our LORD JESUS CHRIST in the days of His flesh CRIED TO GOD the Father, for help.

Hebrews 5:7 “Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up PRAYERS and supplications with STRONG CRYING AND TEARS unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared.”

David the man of faith said he chose to cry to God, Who has the capacity to accomplish all things for him.

David said he would cry to EL-Elyon – the Most High God, Who is stronger than the strongest; Richer than the richest; Greater than the greatest and Wiser than the wisest, etc.

All those who cried to God in the scriptures got divine attention, intervention, provision and deliverance.

Moses and the Israelites at the bank of the Red Sea cried to God.

Exodus 14:10 “And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel CRIED OUT UNTO THE LORD.”

Repeatedly, Moses cried to God, as they journeyed in the wilderness and God brought succour and provision.

King Asa cried to God in 2 Chronicles 14:11 “And ASA CRIED UNTO the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with Thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go against this multitude.

O LORD, Thou art our God; let not man prevail against Thee.”

Ishmael (Gen. 21:7); Hannah (1 Samuel 1:15); Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles 20).

Blind Bartimeus (Luke 18), etc., all cried to God because of the vicissitude of life and God showed them mercy.

Even Jonah in the belly of the fish CRIED TO GOD and God heard him. Jonah 2:2 “And said, I CRIED by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and He heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and Thou heardest my voice.”
