St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Boys’ Brigade, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, today inducts its new president, Sir Sunny Nwosu today at a colourful ceremony. The ceremony will also witness the launching of a N100m-brigade development fund.

Making this known in Lagos, the new president urged parents to instill discipline and right values in their children to enable them become good and responsible citizens in future, as non-governmental agencies cannot win the fight alone.

He said: “Most parents prefer to go to farms on Sunday. When your child sees you do such things on Sunday, he will not see any importance attached to Sunday worship. Parents should know that homily moulds the minds of youths and children.”

Sir Nwosu lamented that since inception, the group has not established its own headquarters, noting that the proceeds of the fund would be used to complete the national headquarters, as well as set up a vocational centre, where youths would be exposed to various training and skills acquisition.

The Chairman, Local Organising Committee of the investiture, Bisi Onodipe, said the group is a foremost voluntary organisation established since 1803 with about 30 million members.
