Make that move – Part 3
Now, let’s consider the following Bible passage: “And there were four leprous men outside the city gates and they said one to another, why sit we here until we die? If we say, we will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and if we sit still here we die also. Now, therefore, come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and they were come to the utter most part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there (2kings 7:3-5).
From the above scripture, we read a story of four “ordinary and handicapped” men, who took ‘extra ordinary’ (very risky) decision and made bold step that gave them a “magnificent” result. They were faced with a dilemma; any option to them was as risky as their existence. But after much consideration, they knew it was even more risky to remain where they were. Hence, the decision to ‘make that move’ changed their lives and that of their entire nation. Who knows if that idea you have been putting off is what will change the lives of your nation and your family members, church, community, neighbourhood, etc., and your name will be written in gold? Who knows if it is what will announce you tomorrow. So, ‘make that move.’
Isaac Newton, in one of his laws of motion, postulated “everything is constantly in a state of rest, until a force is applied to it.” But on the other way round, the breakthrough and success you have been waiting for, could be lying in that “idea” you have refused to take action on. You may also have been praying fervently and trusting God for a ‘change’ in your business, career, finances, etc., and it seems the answer is being delayed, when in the actual sense, your answer has been sent long ago through that ‘idea’ you have ignored. Some ‘ideas’ are directly from God, as there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty gives him understanding. (Job 32:8).
But remember, success is never static; rather it is dynamic and it locates those who are on the ‘move.’ The world moves for those who are ready to move and it will never turn done the request of those who are not afraid to take a risk. So, what are you still waiting for, before you “make that move,” which is capable of changing your life forever? I charge you this day to take the bull by the horn and take the bold step, as the journey of a thousand miles, only begins with a step.
On the last premise, I want you to know that God may not move in your life, until you decide to make a move. Like the lepers in the scripture we read above, God moved in their lives after they had moved. Please note that whoever that wants to eat bread must go out to the street, for bread is not sold in the house. And it is better and more honourable to die on the warfront than to die at home by the same war. God is only waiting for you to ‘make that move’ of faith, for Him to arise on your behalf and deliver that ‘change’ you have long being awaiting into your hands! Shalom!
