Household enemies are enemies from our family members. The book of Mika says one’s enemies are members of his household.

For the son dishonereth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. (Mika7:6)

Biblical examples of household enemies commence from Abel and Cain. Cain killed Abel out of jealousy and envy. We also have the misunderstanding between Abraham and Lot and the rivalry between Jacob and Esau. Rebecca, the mother of the twin brothers, became the enemy of Esau. She successfully exchanged the destiny of Esau in favour of Jacob. There was confusion in the household of David, where Absalom, his son, plotted and dethroned David. Yet, the children of David Adonija and Solomon fought a bitter battle that led to the death of Adonija.

Rivalry between family members is more prominent in African societies because of the polygamous setting of Africans. Usually, the wealth of a man is determined by the size of his household. It is the wives, the children and other family members that work in his farms and transport the produce of the farm to the market. The wife-to-be is usually empowered with witchcraft for her survival, protection of her children and to get her husband’s attention. Bitter rivalry among the wives was why we have stepmother’s syndrome. The first suspect, when an African man has a spiritual problem, is the stepmother. There are also spiritual problems initiated by uncles, siblings, half brothers and half sisters.

Method of Spiritual Attack

• Exchange of Destiny
It is very common for witches and occultic people to exchange the destiny of their victims. Destinies are exchanged when the spiritual immunity is destroyed through demonic manipulation explained as follows:

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. (Matthew 13:25)

Prayer for the recovery of stolen destiny can be made from 1st Samuel 5:5-6, where the children of Israel recovered the Ark of covenant, 2nd Kings 8:1-6, where the shunamite woman got back her land and 1st Samuel 30, where David recovered what the Amalekites took from Ziglag. The story of how Joseph became the Lord over his brothers is a good reference testimony for recovery of the stolen destiny.

Destinies are stolen through the dreams, where one find himself naked, pushed into the pit, receive a gunshot or get arrested by the police, masquerade or armed robbers. One may also find himself in a disadvantaged position among his contemporaries. He may write examination and could not submit his papers. Those that experience being pressed down, while sleeping are also people whose destinies have been stolen.

Through Monitoring Spirit
This has been eloquently explained in Rev 13:17
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17)

As discussed in our write-up on Monitoring spirit, those without the mark of the beast are usually labelled blind witches and monitored to ensure that good things coming their ways are aborted as follows

• Maritally: They do not have husband and when they do, they experience discrimination, hatred, stagnation and sometimes inability to bear children.

• Ill-luck and dishonour: They experience ill-luck, dishonour and always miss opportunities for successes.

Stagnation
Household enemies cause stagnation. Stagnation is inability to progress. The stagnated experiences promise and fail. As explained in our earlier write-ups, every African man has a spiritual label through which he can be monitored by household enemies. But by the word of God in Gen 41:14, John 8:36 and 1st Corinthians 3:17, the victim can be completely set free.

Next week, we shall discuss the Generational Curse, which are curses that flow through the bloodline of families.
