THE President, Apostleship of Prayer League of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Lagos Archdiocese, Mr. Geoffrey Nebeolisa, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to come up with a plan for youths, in order to make them compete favourably with their counterparts in other parts of the world.

At the 2015 Prayer Day for Nigeria in Lagos, recently, Nebeolisa said Nigerian youths deserve to be cared for, as reliable and competent leaders of tomorrow.

“Again, any country that is divided along tribal and religious lines can hardly progress. I look forward to the time when every Nigerian can aspire for a leadership position at any level and in any part of the country irrespective of his or her tribe or religion,” he said.

Probably alluding to the uprising in the eastern part of the country, he said although the 1914 amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates might not have been the best of options, it is the duty of people to utilise opportunities offered by the reality.

“We have seen Europeans coming together, even as sovereign nations, to forge a common market. God has done the blending for us; it is up to us to harmonise the situation and enjoy the goodness of togetherness,” he added.
