Divine over flow

Bible Text: Joshua 3:12–16
…And as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest)…” (Joshua 3:15).

The Bible teaches in Psalm 23:5 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” This Scripture makes us to understand that God is the source of the overflow. The overflow starts with Him and floods over the sides. The word ‘overflow’ means going beyond the limits, running over, to be more than enough, to fill to capacity, to be complete, and to be super abundant.

The Bible says in Joel 2:24 “The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.” This makes reference to a season that is coming when you are not just going to have enough on your table, but your floor will be covered with excess of grain not just to bake. It means you will have enough and also have a leftover. Our Good Shepherd is so awesome that He gives us green pastures not just to eat, but to lay down in (Psalm 23:1). The word ‘lying down’ is to ‘retire,’ which means your Shepherd says ‘not only are you going to have enough for each day, but you will have enough to retire on.’ You will not have to stress or struggle because the Good Shepherd provides for you so that you have more than enough.

The floodgates of joy and anointing power are open. But there are some that have not experienced floods of any kind, some started in January 2018 and their expectations have not been met, and as we are coming down to the end of 2018, they are already giving up on the last few months left. But if you do certain things, you can maximise the remaining months in 2018 so that when 2019 comes, you will already be living in the overflow. It is absolutely possible for you to activate and stimulate the overflow. It is possible for you to have keys that will unlock the floodgates and provoke Heaven to release on your behalf. It also possible for you to have a say when the overflow comes and what magnitude you want to have it. You can cause overflow to happen quicker than expected. You can provoke or prevent what God is about to release to you. But some people have limited God from doing what He wants to do in their lives. You have the power to say and do things because God has put the authority on you (Mark 11:23). You have a responsibility and a part to play (Isaiah 1:18-19, James 4:2). Overflow doesn’t just happen and floodgates don’t open for lazy people, you have to be proactive.

How To Provoke The Overflow
• Sow: Stimulate your finances. Add something to, in order to get something from (Genesis 8:22, Luke 6:38). Let go of what you have in order to make room for what you want to have.
