Cherubim and Seraphim Church leaders inaugurate Council of Elders

In order to foster love, peace and unity among its members, the leadership of Cherubim and Seraphim Church has constituted a body known as Council of Elders of Cherubim and Seraphim.

At Sheraton Hotel in Lagos, where the inaugural meeting held, the Council asserted that Cherubim and Seraphim Churches still remain the first Pentecostal movement in Nigeria, having the grace of Apostolic power to speak in tongues, prophesy, as well as preach the gospel of Christ.

Speaking through the Vice President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Elder (Professor) Joseph Otubu, the group unanimously agreed that henceforth, the Cherubim and Seraphim Churches shall be a united and indivisible group. They resolved to foster unity among Cherubim and Seraphim Churches. Other responsibilities the group was entrusted with include, fostering of growth, unity and peace among all church members.

The group, made up of Baba Aladura, Praying Band of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, His Most Eminence, Babatunde Amusan; Baba Aladura, Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim, His Most Eminence Solomon Alao; Vice-President, Christian Association of Nigeria, Professor Joseph Otubu; Baba Aladura, Eternal Sacred Order Cherubim and Seraphim Church, His Most Eminence, David Bob-Manuel; Deputy Baba Aladura of Eternal Sacred Order Cherubim and Seraphim, Baba Aladura Demuren; Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Baba Aladura, Samuel A. Abidoye; Eternal Sacred Order Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Baba Aladura Michael I.O. Ebahor and Cherubim and Seraphim society, Baba Aladura Babatunde Adebona also agreed to promote unity among youths, women and elders in the service of the Lord. The Council is to meet quarterly and look at issues, as they affect the body of Christ.
