CAN felicitates with Motailatu as it celebrates anniversary
The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Dr. Supo Ayokunle has congratulated Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide (MCCSW) on its 53rd anniversary.
Describing it as a milestone, Rev. Ayokunle acknowledged MCCSW’s commitment to expansion of gospel and charity, saying the church would certainly impact more lives.
He also commended Baba Aladura Akinadewo, describing him as a “friend and brother,” a courageous minister of the gospel with a passion for souls.
Ayokunle, who was the Guest preacher, ministered on “the hidden treasures.” He urged Christians to dare to explore all God’s potentials within them for maximum impact.
“If you don’t treasure God’s values in your life, you will suffer here and hereafter. Learn to place value on what you have. Delay is dangerous. Take advantage of today’s opportunities to become what you should be tomorrow,” he said.
Nigeria, Ayokunle said, will change for good the day Christians discover their gifts and deploy them.
“Let others see Jesus in you. If all Christians were light indeed, we’d chase away all darkness in this country sooner than we think,” he said.
The Supreme Head/Prelate of the church, Baba Aladura, Dr. Elder Israel Akinadewo, said the anniversary was a testimony to God’s faithfulness to MCCSW.
The church, he said, has come a long way and will remain committed to “spiritual revival and human capital investment in a selfless and radical manner.” He assured that MCCSW would not compromise on the traditions and practices of Aladura movement in line with Biblical provisions.
