Worried by the sorry state of link roads in the Sango area of Ogun State, Foursquare Gospel Church, Sango-Ota District, has rehabilitated roads in the four areas constituting Ifelodun/Olunloye Community Development Association (CDA). The initiative is part of palliative measures, which the church adopts annually.

The reconstruction of the link roads from Abioro Junction, connecting the Ijoko Road, was done with the support of the chairmen of the four areas-Messers Kola Balogun; Saheed Mesinoye; Pastor Kolapo Ojo, and Alhaji Femi Kuranga.

The roads are alternative routes to the old tollgate via Dalemo from Ijoko, whenever there is a traffic snarl under the Sango Bridge. The roads, for which over N500, 000 was spent to make them motorable include, Egbedeyi Olansege; Prince Olasunkanmi Adebayo Drive; Korede Adenigba, and Wumani Streets.

Before the intervention, the roads were almost impassable, as they have been abandoned since the tenure of Governor Gbenga Daniel. Apart from the then dilapidated roads causing breakdown of vehicles, during rainy season, adjoining areas were always flooded, forcing residents most times to abandon their vehicles at home.

The District Overseer of the church, Rev. Ayomide Abraham, told The Guardian that the gesture was part of the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aimed at positively impacting on the lives of its host community.
