It is about that time of the year again, when workers and labourers are celebrated throughout the globe. International Workers’ Day or Labour Day on May 1st always presents a unique opportunity for many discourses and fora that border on topical work and labour-related issues to be held worldwide. Present-day economic indices across the world make it logical to conclude that human resources are the greatest resources available to nations and corporations. Therefore, any investment made towards the development of human capital is to the advantage of employers and governments. Conversely, the lack of intentional and adequate capacitation of personnel is also to the peril of any economy or establishment.

The prevailing and unsavoury economic situation in Nigeria makes it incumbent on forward-thinkers and path-finders to chart a practical, pragmatic and clear course for the nation’s workforce to follow as any economy is only as strong as its various establishments and all establishments in turn, are only as strong as the quality of the workers that power them.

There is no contending the truth that 7 Star organisations do not exist in isolation as it takes 7 Star personnel to make any organisation attain such excellent rating. It is a peoples world.

It is against the backdrop of these facts that this 7 Star Worker Conference – “The Pan African Edition” themed “Entrepreneurship AND Innovation” will be holding in Lagos, Nigeria on May 1st 2017 at the Civic Centre.

This year’s speakers are drawn from different countries and among them is Innovation Strategist, Chukwuka Monye (CCM), the Director-General of Delta Economic Summit Group (DESG) and the Managing Partner of Ciuci Consulting. Mr. Monye will bring to bear on this conference, his passion as a pan-Africanist as well as uncommon experience and insight garnered from executing over 200 projects in 10 years of being at the helm of one of Africa’s leading consultancies
