Béninoise Varsity Graduates 149 Students With Eight Nigerians Making First Class

OGHUVWU Felix, alongside seven other Nigerian students made first class (Summa Cum Laude) at Institute Le Citoyen University Republic of Benin.

Felix, a 24-year old mass communication student also emerged the overall best graduating students with 4.82 CGPA. The other seven Nigerians, who also made first class in their disciplines include: Ezeugonwa Linda, Akinfaderan Kemiola, Moresu Mamani, John Ruth Tony and Oginni Oluwabukola.

Speaking on the feat, Felix attributed his success to industry. “I had to combine learning French language with English and also adjusted to the Beninoise metric system. These constituted challenges, but I worked to overcome them by putting in extra time to study.”

Charging the 149 graduating students to embrace bilingualism, the Chancellor of the school, Dr. Abraham Voglozin, said: “bilingual graduates are in high demand in all professions.”
According to the Registrar, Dr. Aminu Raimi, said, “with the alarming rate of graduates without job after school, the school has designed its programme to equip students for professional life and also to give them an edge in the employment market.”
