Yellow house are champions of Beehive school’s championship

Yellow House were at the weekend crowned the champions of the Beehive School 2017 inter-house sports competition held at the school’s newly built sports ground.

Yellow House were at the weekend crowned the champions of the Beehive School 2017 inter-house sports competition held at the school’s newly built sports ground.

The house won with a total of 27 medals consisting of 13 gold, 10 silver and four bronze medals to beat Blue House, which had 26 medals, including 13 gold, eight silver and five bronze medals, to the second position, while Red House took the third spot with six gold, nine silver and 15 bronze medals. Green House finished with 22 medals made up of three gold, eight silver and 11 bronze medals.

The event witnessed a large turnout of parents, invited guests and pupils from schools around the Ikeja environs, who participated in the schools invitational relays.

The pupils featured in various track and field events, including 25 metres and 50 metres races for the nursery section, while the primary pupils took part in the 100 metres and relay races, high jump, sack race and filling the basket event
 
It was an atmosphere of fun and excitement as guests participated in parents’ race and grandparents’ race.Speaking at the event, an excited proprietress of Beehive School, Mrs. Latifat Dosunmu, said she was happy the pupils now have a standard pitch for sporting activities, while promising to continue investing in facilities to ensure that the pupils would develop their potential in sports.
