he world’s number three Sumo Wrestler, Emeka ’Baba Mutum’ Okeke, has expressed satisfaction with the recent appointment of Alhassan Yakmut as the Acting Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC) by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Okeke, who said yesterday in Enugu that “the coming of Yakmut will create a new height for Nigerian sports development,” urged Nigerians to support the new administration.

He described Yakmut’s appointment as the best thing that could happen to Nigerian sports, stressing that it wouldn’t have come at a better
time than now.

“I urge Nigerians who love the growth of sports to support his administration. I want to assure that those of us from Enugu will give him the needed support and even trek to Abuja to let him know how much we appreciate his new position, once his appointment as Director General is confirmed. We will do this to remind him that he started being a sports administrator from Enugu State.”
