Winners to share N2m at VCN Independence Beach Marathon

Winners in the different categories at the maiden VCN Independence Day Beach Marathon are assured of going home with part of the N2 million prize money of the event scheduled for the Elegushi Beach, Lagos, tomorrow.

According to the sponsor of the event, Victor Nwaribeaku, who is also the President of VCN Sports International, winners in the men and women categories will get N200, 000 each, just as all the outstanding runners will get cash, trophies, medals and other logistics for the Beach Marathon to the organizers on Saturday.

Nwaribeaku, whose kits distribution company is also planning the VCN U-15 Soccer Challenge at the legacy pitch of the National Stadium, Lagos on October 19, said over 100 “marathoners have dully registered for this marathon. I expect a successful event as top athletics coach, Isaac Ikhabueme, is the chief coordinator of the event.”
Meanwhile, Coach Ikhabueme has assured marathon enthusiasts of the commitment of the officials towards making the VCN Beach Marathon a success.
