Squash federation suspends technical director

THE Squash Federation of Nigeria (NSF) has suspended its technical director, Bola Magaji, indefinitely for alleged ‘gross misconduct and acts capable of destroying the game of squash in the country.’

In a release by the federation after its board meeting at the weekend, NSF President, Adamu Ahmed Erena, alleged there were “ample evidences of Bola’s involvement in acts to sabotage the federation.”

He said the federation had already notified the National Sports Commission (NSC) of the development, adding, “if you have a board member that puts personal interest above every other thing, who feels that nothing will happen if he is not going to benefit anything from it, certainly there is bound to be a problem.

“When we were going for a junior tournament in Namibia, we called for camping through our technical director who produced the list of the players to participate and released same to the secretariat.

“Before joining the team in camp, he had first asked me if he would be among those traveling to Namibia.
