The dust generated by the result of the election of the Lady Golfers Association of Nigeria (LGAN) election is yet to settle, as one of the contestants is still waiting on the association’s Board of Trustees to look into the matter.

In the election that took place penultimate week at the Ibori Golf and Country Club, Asaba, Delta State, the former captain of the ladies section, Ikoyi Club 1938 (golf section), Maureen Reece alleged that the exercise was laden with abnormalities.

One of these abnormalities, she alleged, did not only place her at a disadvantage, but also betrayed the spirit of fairness and integrity that the game is globally renown for.

However, several days after registering her grouse over the conduct of the polls, she said that she was yet to hear from the trustees of the board, whom she had formally complained to.

Shortly after the election, Recce, who contested for the office of the Zonal President, South Western Zone said, “I believe there were quite a number of things that were not done right.”
