The chief coach of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Football Club to the just concluded Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry games (NOGIG), Frank Onyiriuka, has expressed appreciation to the management and players of the corporation, following their second football gold medal victory at the weekend.

Onyiriuka-tutored team defeated Shell FC 3-0 in a thrilling encounter at the final, where captain Charles Uyi Olokan and Emma Abdulahi were among the scorers. The final took place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

According to the coach, teamwork and dedication were the secrets behind their feat coupled with players’ spirit of sportsmanship.

He added that the management’s total support gave them the impetus to white-watch their opponents on course to winning the title.

While stating that he is inspired to do more for NNPC FC, Onyiriuka said his fairness at picking the right players at every game did the magic all through the NOGIG games.
