No automatic shirt for any player, Oliseh reaffirms
As Super Eagles resume full preparation today
Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has reaffirmed his determination to build a formidable national team by ensuring healthy competition in all the departments of the team.
Oliseh, who said that all the domestic and foreign-based players invited for the African Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania must justify their continued stay in the team, revealed that the home-based players released to their clubs for last weekend’s league games, are expected to return to camp today to begin full preparation for the qualifier against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
Speaking through the Super Eagles’ Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, Oliseh said tactical discipline and team play would be his major strategy to revamp the team.
The former Super Eagles’ captain would lead the players in their first work out this morning to put the team in shape for the task ahead. “The domestic players did not train at the weekend because of club engagements.
They will be return to training on Monday. The foreign-based players will join the camp on September 31.” Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that Oliseh has made adjustments to the home-based team preparing for the September 8 international friendly against Niger Republic.
