Kelechi Nwakali wants to play in Germany

After discussions with Arsenal over his future at the club, Kelechi Nwakali is set for a second loan spell and this time the Nigeria youth international wants to go to the Bundesliga.

Kelechi Nwakali has been getting rave reviews in the Dutch league.

After discussions with Arsenal over his future at the club, Kelechi Nwakali is set for a second loan spell and this time the Nigeria youth international wants to go to the Bundesliga.

Nwakali is eyeing a Bundesliga loan move after having discussions with Arsenal over his future in north London.

The 19-year-old has failed to obtain a UK work permit so there’s no other choice than to send him out on loan and the player has an idea of where he’d like to go if he gets the choice.

”Kelechi and his brother Allwell are still in London. Our suggestion to Arsenal is that he should go on loan to a top division team,” CEO of ASJ Academy, Nwakali’s former Nigerian club, said.

”This time, we are going for Germany. We have a meeting with Arsenal this afternoon.”

Nwakali signed for Arsenal last year and was more or less immediately sent out on loan to Dutch club, MVV Maastricht. While there, the midfielder made 34 appearances, scoring three times and assisting four.

The teenager still has four years left on his Arsenal deal and a loan move is a great way for young players to gain regular first team experience in a competitive environment.
