Organisers promise exciting time for sponsors, players

AS preparations for this year’s edition of the International Pairs competition gathers momentum, organisers of the event, Falcon Golf Development Company, has promised participants and winners of the competition a once-in-a-life time entertainment.

Falcon Golf Development Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Remi Olukoya, explained at the weekend that the event had to be moved to the golf section of the Ikoyi Club 1938 because of unexpected clashes with other tournaments on the earlier scheduled day.

He added that the need to give the participants value for their money and the desire of the organisers to accommodate more participants necessitated the move to Ikoyi club.

The competition, Olukoya added, would now be played over two-days from September 18th to 20.

Already there seems to be excitement in the air as interest in the competition grows.

“We had to change the venue and the date because of clashes with some other competitions noticed. But we have finally agreed to the new date, which is September 18 to 20. Unlike the former arrangement that would have seen players play over 18-holes, we have decided to make it a two-day competition, so as to give all players opportunity of winning,” he explained further.
