‘I Won’t Disappoint Nigeria In ‘Battle Of Yaounde’
The battle of Yaounde will hold at the famous Palaise De Sports in Cameroun’s capital on September 19, and Power Lee says he will beat his Camerounian opponent, Michel Noudem ‘Le Matrquer’ like a baby in front of his home fans.
The contest, a baby of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), will also feature wrestlers from other African countries, including Ghana, Liberia, Mali and Congo DRC.
The Delta State born ‘Power Lee’ told The Guardian that he had what it takes to silence the Camerounian heavyweight champion. “I am aware of the rivalry between Nigeria and Cameroun, but I am very confident. I will beat ‘Le Matrquer’ like a baby come September 19,” Power Lee told The Guardian. “What I need is for Nigerians, both government and corporate bodies, to prepare me mentally and financially for the fight.
I won’t disappoint my nation.” If Power Lee wins the battle of Yaounde on September 19, he is expected to defend the crown within one month in Nigeria.
He is soliciting support from President Muhammadu Buhari as well as Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and other well meaning Nigerians and corporate bodies to see his dream come true. According to Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), the battle of Yaounde is part of efforts towards reviving professional wrestling in the continent.
