Coach of First Bank Basketball Club, Adewunmi Aderemi, who was delighted with the performance of his team, told The Guardian that his girls were not at their best despite wining the encounter with high points margin.

Team Captain of the Lagos-based side, Nzekwe Oluchi, also noted that wining the first game have kept the team on the race to retain the title.

Benue Princess’ Head Coach, Martina Emmanuel, attributed the loss to fatigue, saying, “My girls lost the game because we arrived Lagos last night.

“I think fatigue affected my players. Thank God we meet First Bank, which is a strong opposition, in the opening game. Our next game will be better,’’ she said.
