Fallen giants, Enugu Rangers, will begin screening of players for the 2015/2016 season two day after the Christmas celebrations, officials of the club have revealed.

The ‘Flying Antelopes’ recently named former Super Eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu, as supervisor of the screening panel, which has been mandated to recruit quality players for the team.

According to an official, who pleaded anonymity, “the screening will hold on December 28, 29 and 30, with the chosen players given some days off to tidy up their affairs in their former clubs before joining the rest of the team early next year.

“We don’t know when/if the team will appoint a new coach or whether Chukwu will handle the team next season as the team has been without a coach since Imama Amakakpabo and his crew was sacked last season.”

The former Rangers’ captain served as Technical Consultant to the club in the 2014/2015 Glo Premier League season, while former Sharks star, Amakakpabo, headed the coaching crew.

The new screening panel is headed by the general manager of the club, Ozor Paul Chibuzor.
